About Torben

Torben Töniges studied Cognitive Computer Science and Intelligent Systems at Bielefeld University. He received his Bachelor of Science in 2009 and the Master of Science in 2011. Torben Töniges stayed at the University of Birmingham for six month to write his Master's thesis with the title "From search to delivery: A systems approach to robust object grasping for a mobile robot". After completing his master's degree, he joined the Applied Informatics Group at Bielefeld University. At present he is a PhD student and is supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Franz Kummert. His current fields of research are facial analysis, human - robot interaction and driver observation.
