Patryk Pekala studied Cognitive Computer Science and Intelligent Systems at Bielefeld University. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 2013 and his Master of Science Degree in 2016. In his Master thesis "Putting the 'Smart' in Smart Mirror: A User Centered Approach", he developed a Smart Mirror System with Augmented Reality features and pointing gesture support.

 

After receiving his Master's degree, he worked as a mobile app developer in the Internet of Things and Smart Home environment, after which he joined the Applied Informatics group in 2017. His current research fields are cooperative intelligence for robots and adaptive mental models for user interaction.
