Dipl. Inform. Marco Kortkamp

Marco Kortkamp received the diploma in computer science from Bielefeld University, Germany, in June 2008. Subsequently, he joined the research group for Applied Informatics at Bielefeld University. At present he is a PhD student of "Intelligent Systems" and is supervised by Sven Wachsmuth.

Marco's research focus is on computer vision and machine learning  methods that are related to visual category recognition. His diploma thesis was about the automatic generation of visual training sets from the Web. Further, he is interested in the disciplines of software engineering and project management.
