Joachim Schmidt received the diploma in computer science from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, in 2004. He joined the research group for Applied Computer Science (Angewandte Informatik) at the University of Bielefeld, Germany, in 2004. Joachim Schmidt is interested in computer vision and human-machine-interaction. Within computer vision, he is especially interested in model-based 3D tracking of the human body.
