Christian Peters received the diploma in computer science from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, in September 2008. The topic of his diploma thesis was 'Recognition of task-related events in a handwashing scenario' supervised by Sven Wachsmuth and Jesse Hoey (University of Dundee). He joined the research groups Applied Informatics and Ambient Intelligence at Bielefeld University in October 2008. He is interested in machine learning and computer vision in task assistance scenarios.

Christian is a member of the CITEC Graduate School where he is working towards his PhD in the project 'Task assistance for persons with cognitive disabilities' supervised by Sven Wachsmuth and Thomas Hermann.
