Team ToBI is 7th in round 1! So, round 2 (or, as Marc would have it: Semi-Finals ;-), here we come! Check the score sheet yourself:
As you can see, the two teams which yesterday were directly before ToBI didn't get any points in the "who is who" task, while we got quite a few. Our open challenge was also quite well received, scoring fourth highest overall in that task.
It is noticeable that the five best teams all have a manipulator, which allowed them to score well in the "fetch and carry" task. All of these teams are quite close together, while place 6 is 370 points behind. Also note that the distance from Team ToBI to place 6 is quite small -- just 53 point. Team FLEA scored high on the "follow me" task yesterday but hasn't continued as successfully, so we have caught up to them quite well.
Last, but not least, note that the well-established "Alemaniacs" team only got to place 8, with a noticable 373 point distance to us. I think ToBI can be quite proud to have done so well in the first round and lets wish them the best for the coming round. I have to say: The fifth place is certainly still a challenge, but not completely impossible :-) Keep your fingers crossed!
So, tomorrow only the ten best teams will continue. Also, tasks are going to be 10 minutes long, instead of 5 as in the first round. The first task of tomorrow will be "walk and talk", where the human introduces several places by name and the robot has to return to them. This task will start at 12:00 hours. The second task of the day will start at 15:00 hours and is called "PartyBot" :-) I'll keep you posted.
